Captain
Damien grew up in the town of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, where he attended Maritzburg College — one of the country’s most respected schools for both academics and athletics. Excelling in rugby, cricket, and water polo at competitive levels, Damien’s passion for sport and teamwork was evident from an early age.
With his family owning a farm inland, he also developed a love for horses, spending much of his youth playing polo. At a crossroads between pursuing polo professionally or, as his father would say, “finding a real job,” Damien chose a different adventure that would shape the rest of his life.
At the age of 18, yachting entered his world — what was meant to be a short-term experience quickly evolved into a lifelong passion. Over the years, Damien has navigated yachts across the globe, completing two full circumnavigations and visiting all seven continents, including a memorable two-month expedition in Antarctica.
It’s hard to keep Damien away from the water. In his downtime, you’ll often find him wing-foiling around windy bays or exploring new coastlines.
Damien now resides in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, with his wife Sam and their three beautiful daughters — Giselle, Francesca, and Willow.

James Frew
First Mate
Born in Nelson, but having grown up in various coastal towns and cities around New Zealand, James was exposed to the sea from a very early age, leading to a deep love for the salt air. From paddling at the beach as a toddler to becoming a competitive dingy sailor as a teenager, it was only a matter of time before a career was made from the water one way or another. Building boats became the goal, and with this in mind, James started what would become a five year apprenticeship constructing some of the finest vessels on the water.
Discovering that once they are built, boats tend to travel around to the beautiful and sunny parts of the world, chisels and chalk were given up for charts and a chammy. Several years on and many miles covered across the world’s oceans and seas, James’ affinity for the water has only strengthened.
When not keeping Curfew looking her absolute best, chances are James will be somewhere outdoors, likely out fishing, up the nearest mountain or looking for the best spots for food in town.
Doina Weber
Chief Stew
Bringing over a decade of yachting experience and an innate passion for hospitality, Doina is the consummate Chief Stewardess—graceful under pressure, endlessly detail-oriented, and deeply committed to guest satisfaction. With an impressive resume across both private and charter vessels ranging from 30m to 101m—including LADY LARA, EMINENCE, and GRATEFUL—Doina has led interior teams through everything from multi-week charters to high-profile events, delivering a five-star experience each and every time.
Her refined service style is backed by hands-on expertise in silver service, fine dining, theme party coordination, floral design, and meticulous housekeeping. Guests often describe her as warm, intuitive, and fun! Whether she’s organizing a formal dinner, orchestrating a surprise celebration, or simply remembering how you like your morning coffee, Doina handles every detail with care and finesse.

Born and raised in Richards Bay, Cornel grew up surrounded by the ocean and the outdoors, developing an early passion for fishing, dirt bike riding, and high-adrenaline pursuits. That active lifestyle shaped his strong work ethic and disciplined mindset.
Mechanically inclined from a young age, he began his career working as a mechanic on trucks and cars before moving into steel construction, building a solid technical foundation. He later entered the yachting industry determined to challenge himself and grow within a more demanding environment.
Now serving as Engineer / Deck, Cornel brings focus, precision, and hands-on problem-solving to every task. Described as passionate, on point, and clear in his approach, he thrives in fast-paced environments and continues working toward expanding his engineering expertise within the industry.

Roberto Rojas
Chef
Roberto was born in Mexico city where he has been following his passion of cooking since he was 15 years old, His drive eventually landed him a job at “Pujol” which is the best restaurant in Mexico with 3 Michelin stars.
Roberto is truly a master at his trade, having trained in traditional & modern Mexican cuisine, he won a scholarship to attend a prestigious culinary school in Monaco and spent some time in the kitchens of Paris perfecting his French cuisine, He also speaks fluent French!
Roberto lets his food do the talking, when he is not spoiling the people around him with the most amazing food, he loves reading and playing soccer.
“The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” and Roberto knows this well, let him treat you to the best Ceviche of your life made with your freshly caught fish paired with one of his family salsa recipes passed down to him by his grandmother!
Robbie is also an incredible Salsa Dancer and you will often find him tearing up the dance halls of Miami’s best salsa clubs!

She began as a deck/ stew but quickly realized she loved the interior aspect of yachting, getting to showcase her creative abilities and genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
For Gracie, yachting combines everything she loves most — travel, new experiences, and meeting people from around the world — all while enjoying a lifestyle far removed from the Canadian winters she grew up with.
Thomas Calenborne

Thomas enjoys every aspect of life on deck, from keeping the yacht in pristine condition to helping guests enjoy days filled with watersports, sun, and unforgettable adventures.

When he’s off duty, you’ll most likely find him on the golf course or relaxing on the game farm back home in South Africa.
